Horrifying
I remember watching part of this film as a child with my mother, and to say it scared me is an understatement. I'm in my twenties now and I've seen the film in the years since, and I still think it's a chilling film, although I am now able to understand it much better in all its intricacies and recognize its beautiful moments. I haven't read Morrison's book yet, but it's been assigned in one of my university literature classes and I'm excited to finally read it. The film though, to this day, has never left the recesses of my mind. The murder scene scarred my childhood.
