A goof

They forgot to add one thing in the goof section. At the end, both the good ant and the bad ant are thrown into that pit thing. The evil ant hits a root and I'm guessing gets killed, when the other ant lands into the water. Really the ant that hit the root would survive and the ant that hit the water would wash out a die. Maybe the director wanted small kids who watched lame shows like this to know not to jump out of windows. And has anyone noiced that in almost every Disney (Antz is not disney)or superhero movie, the bad guy is always thrown out of a high place and gets killed on impact? Its kind of annoying.

Disney can't actually have a character kill another character. Look at Mulan, Mongols riding down the mountain get wiped out by avalanche instead of fighting the Chinese troops. Can't show the little kiddies that people sometimes kill other people. Goes all the way back to Snow White. Sleeping Beauty is however, an exception.

Ah, Melchett. Still worshipping God? Last I heard... He'd started worshipping me.

I've noticed a couple of other goofs, too:

1. Ants can't actually talk.
2. They don't have scheduled dancing time.
3. A soldier doesn't have enough brain to ever consider "overthrowing" the Queen.
4. A wasp would never give an ant a lift back home.
5. Ants don't use pickaxes to dig.

And a whole bunch of others.

Sheesh. It's an animated movie, dude! And I really don't think it's SUPPOSED to be realistic. (I could be wrong, of course.)

Actually, you're wrong on both accounts:

The ant that hit the root does not have enough weight or surface area to die from falling. An ant falling from ten thousand feet would hit the ground and walk off because it simply could not get enough speed to harm itself.

Moreover, an ant can remain alive under the water for days before it drowns, so Z would not have perished, either.
