Bought this earlier having not seen it for years. I was 9 when it came out and now, at just over twice that age, it's still great. Far better than most of the animated kids films.
I've seen several comments saying things like 'this isn't suitable for kids under 13'. Hah. Crap like the Teletubbies where the characters don't even use real language should be kept away from little kids, not this.
Totally agree, especially with the 'not for preteens' notion. It's all part of this idea of preserving innocence which is fine, but it's not like this film is going to take that away. I too, grew up on this film, i loved it and still do.
It's probably my favorite animated film, and the cast WOW! From Sly Stallone to Walken to Jenifer Lopez to Allen.
A truly great film, very subtlely existential, but carries great weight.
