New Studio 54 Movie

I like your choices here but Donald Trump (as himself--come on, really?!), Penelope Cruz as Bianca Jagger (her Spanish accent would be a gargantuan debit), Daryl Hannah as Jerry Hall (too old), James Blunt (as Mick Jagger!! How 'bout someone with talent AND balls--in other words not a castrato like Blunt), are not-so-great picks, I think. And, arguably, two of the biggest freaks of our society, Paris Hilton and Michael Jackson, in this casting lot of yours? That's insanely bizarre and frightening!!

However, I can really see Sally Kirkland, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Idina Menzel and Rupert Everett as really inspired casting choices. Salma Hayek and Guy Pearce have been there and done that. As much as I like them, I think they've had their turns.

I can kind of see why you chose John C. Reilly to play Steve Rubell, however, I think he is too damn big to play the diminutive nightclub superstar. How about some radical and risque options such as Jude Law, Macaulay Culkin, Clifton Collins, Jason Schwartzmann, Noah Taylor, Michael C. Hall, Andy Serkis, Mark Wahlberg, or a slimmed-down Jack Black?

Baz Luhrmann MIGHT be able to pull it off. Might.

I love your choice of actors and "personalities" for a remake of "54." I could
really see these current people playing the habitues of Studio 54 thirty years
ago.
