Would've been better if Ryan's Character was bisexual
or if that other guy let Steve Rubell give him head
lol in the TV version steve rubell says "Let me rub your back"

I do think Ryan's character was bi that is how he climbed the ladder.....
sharei just read on wikipedia in the orginal directors cut him and greg kiss. but it was cut due to test audiences not liking it.

ha ha thats hilarious!
I'm in my tree talking to the Dixie Chicks and they're making me feel better
This kiss was cut right before the film was released. When I went to see it at the theater, I waited the whole frickin movie to see that kiss because I had read about it in Entertainment Weekly and then it never happened. The director really dropped the ball by cowtowing on this. Pretty much everyone at 54 in the 70s from everything I have read about it was bisexual or open to either sex at the very least. This film sanitizes a lot of that because it wanted box office receipts.
Then I waited in hopes that the dvd would put the kiss back in or at least show it as a deleted scene and guess what, it's not there either! Such a slap in the face!
Oh well, at least I got to see Ryan play a gay character who got to kiss on One Life To Live in the late 1980s/early 1990s :) That's when I fell in love with him as an actor anyway, though he does do a great job in this film with what he was given to play!
Did he have a kiss on OLTL? Because I thought that just recently on Passions was the first man-on-man kiss in Daytime History and then ATWT not long after so I was surprised if he did when he played a gay character on OLTL if he kissed any other guys.
shareYeah I was wrong on that! After I wrote that comment, I went and looked into it and they intimated that he kissed, but never showed it. Still he was still playing a gay character and it was very sweet to watch his story unfold back then :)
shareAh yes, the test audiences deciding what we should see. As we know, it would be so wrong to have a movie about disco with (gasp) homosexuals.
shareThanks for the post ,crazymonkwy04 , I told you all that he was bi....he and greg most likely did more than kissed......

Word up!

A bisexual Shane definitely would have made this good movie even better. I kept waiting for Shane and Greg to hook up or at least kiss; but alas, they did not.
Conversations kill.
There is no such thing as bisexuality.
Once you go schlong, you don't go back.
I agree! Ryan is so hot... Has he played a gay character in any other movies?

Actually the character was bi-sexual, in the uncensored directors cut...which is why it was censored.
