Mike Myers Deserved Oscar Nod

In my opinion, he made the movie and deserved at lest a nomination for his portrayal of Steve Rubell.

Don't know if I'd call it an Oscar worthy performance, but Myers definitely impressed me. His Steve Rubell rendition reminded me of Howard Hughes during his years of mental decay. Very believable, without once going over the top or resorting to stereotypes. In fact, with the exception of the horribly miscast Neve Campbell, I think the entire cast did a great job. I also think that Ryan Phillippe's Razzie nod was completely undeserved.

I don't know about an oscar nod, but Mike Meyers absolutely blew me away in this movie.

If anything, the performance is a bit upsetting to watch today, because it makes one wonder the interesting roles Myers could have taken with his career and grown as an actor.

For the most part I'm not a fan of Myers but I thought he was touching as Rubell.

Get me a bromide! And put some gin in it!
