George Eastman House showing Oct 10

Director's Cut showing, George Eastman House Saturday Oct 10th, 9pm, Rochester, NY.
I never knew that this edition existed. I love disco, but was disappointed in this movie when it first came out. It will be interesting to see this version.

Well, I checked it out....while the main triangle was more fleshed out, I still felt very underwelmed. Pretty much feel the same way about this cut as in the original. I just felt like it had so much more potential.

You're nuts! This version is a totally different film from the lame version that was originally released. Everything is 100 times better, including the music and the lighting that was tweaked for the director's cut. With all that studio filmed garbage cut from the movie, you still didn't see the vast improvements? I don't get it..The main character is now interesting, and three dimensional; he stabs his friends in the back, uses people, prostitutes himself, is openly bisexual, smokes coke and steals from his boss. And yet he is more likable now, because he is a real person with flaws. Sorry but I hated that squeaky clean Disney/Miramax version. It was like a bad tv show. But I like this new vision very much, and I'm glad it finally made it to the public, so people can see how Hollywood cares nothing about art, and only about money..
