Being this is the 40th anniversary of the moon landings and HBO has one of the best docudrama's of the Apollo project, why are they not showing it? The direction that HBO has been headed, I am sure they are too busy planning a special for to the 10th anniversary of G-String Divas. Boy, I hope they can get Katie Morgan to host!
shareJust got the series at Walmart for $13. The DVD package came with a booklet, 5 disks, and a ticket to an IMAX 3D feature that ended in 2005.
Yeah it looks like this DVD set was in the back room for quite a while.

All the store shelves are flooded with these sets walmart, costco, bestbuy...And they're all dirt cheap too, under $20. Last year these sets were in the $60-70 range. I think a combination of too much old stock, this second "signature series" only came out about three years after the first release was in stores. I'm sure people didn't run out and buy the second edition after just buying the first. So there's probably a warehouse full of these 2005 editions somewhere. So they're probably using the 40th anniversary interest to liquidate old stock before the blu-ray edition comes out in a couple months.

Maybe some HBO bigwigs are worried they'll get flooded with mail from the "Moon landing hoax" nut cases. I watched some of it last night right up to the "Spider" episode. What a great series!
