Fearnet showing Original Wishmaster

It's been soo long since I had seen this movie and to see it once again on Fear net today on Cox cable amazes me how good an actor Divoff is. It was like this role was made for him. He just fit it so pefect. It also reminded me of an interview he did for this on the Tonight show when he was promoting this movie. I remember so well because of the story he told Leno when he was in makeup. Apparantley Divoff said it took over 3 to 4 hours everyday to put his makeup on. He said they always tried to do his scenes all at once so he would be done by mid day. However he said one day they had to shoot a scene where he had several hours of down time before his next scene. He had to run several errands of which one was going to the bank. Keep in mind he wasn't very well known back then so alot of actors did not have Personal assistants like they do now. He said it was quite an experience driving down the street getting alot of honked horns and scaring the hell out of a few people. He said he actually had to get out of the car and go into the bank and freaked out alot of people. He said when he was doing his transaction the young lady bank teller helping him could not take her eyes off him. Apparantly she nervously asked him if he was a famous actor and asked him for his autograph. Divoff said without hesitation while signing his autograph said with his wishmaster vioce verbattem "AS YOU WISHHH" signed his autograph and left totally freaking out the bak teller and everybody else in line. Could you imagine if you were one of those people to witness that. That must have ben great !!
