this movie sucks (in a good way)

lame horror movies (like night of the living dead, house of 1000 corpses, and highway to hell) that arent scary in any way but instead just make you laugh the whole time are awesome in a weird sort of way. i liked wishmaster but its so bad its good

-Is it 1981?-

reply

Night of the Living Dead is a masterpiece and a classic. Hardly could be considered bad in any way, shape, or form. Groudbreaking for both it's impact on the genre of zombie films and the sociopolitcial undertones of the film.

Neither Wishmaster nor House of 1000 Corpses are in the same league.

reply

How can this guy call Night Of the living dead "lame"? either he is 15 years old and grew with Resident evil, or he is just ignorant, how can he compare NOTLD to cr*ap like Wishmaster or house of 1000 corpses?

reply

Yeah, I really enjoyed this movie. It's so bad it's good.

In other words Great film to watch when your blazzed..
But its a horror film its chese,
and Night of the living dead, come on a classic? maybe a good horror film, but horror films are in a league of there own you follow? Its like compareing Rosie o'donald to Birtny spears in sexual appeal. You can put a wig on, loads of makeup, go on a diet, have plastic surgery and you may end up with a nice looking Rosie o'donald but it won't even come close to Britney on her bad day. Thats all your Night of a living dead will ever amount too and if you want a scientific explaination, No film thats made to just tickle your fear craving will ever be anything more then a horror film...
God bless lol

You make absolutely no sense...

Learn a little bit about cinema before you post drivel, Diamond. Your pretentious attitude towards horror (all horror is cheese? Are you kidding me!) is as pathetic as your laughable Rosie O'DONNELL (O'Donald?) comparison. Night has A LOT going on and created an entire subgenre of film. It was also a landmark in independent filmmaking. Look into it, kid.

Nine18Pictures, you're totally right mate. Ignore these *beep*

"Your character's the comic relief. Like Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now."

reply

Yes he is. All horror is cheese? Sounds like some French New Wave-fawning Merchnat-Ivory smugness to me.

Knowing about film isn't being pretentious. It's an art form - something to be studied.

reply

Once again, you are right. Some idiots can't see that film is an art and not just stupid entertainment. Take my uncle for example, the other day we watched Apocalypse Now, and he was enjoying it (helicoptor attack, the brigde, etc). But I could see that he started to get restless when they got to the Kurtz compound. Afterwards he said "It was good until they ran out of script." Can you beleive that sh!t? What a fu#kin' idiot. This is the same guy who wouldn't watch Citizen Kane with me a few weeks ago because "Black and white films are for Sunday afternoons."

We just have to accept that there are morons out there who can't, won't and don't accept that film is to be admired, as well as to entertain us.

Oh, and to keep this slightly on topic, whoever said all horror is cheese should watch Jaws. One of the best character studies out there, with a beleiveable plot, and brilliant performances from some of the best actors to ever grace our screens.

"Your character's the comic relief. Like Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now."

reply

Absolutely.

reply

Apocalypse now sucks...... yea when *beep* marlin brando doesn't even begin shooting til 6-8 months into the film. It's doomed from the beginning. Plus since your such film experts tell me why on the boat it's dark behind charlie sheen and bright in front of him. I'll tell you why *beep* *beep* movie making that was doomed from the start.

your uncle was right....get a life movie sucks

hbkfan994:

Well I've seen the film about 10 times and I don't know where the part you are talking about is where it's dark behind and bright in front so eitheir;

A: You read the 'Goofs' section on IMDb and therefore ruin films for yourself for no reason (I used to do it, when I was 15 and thought it was cool to point out mistakes)

or

B: You watch films with a fine tooth comb to pick out mistakes yourself. As you obviously hate this film so much, you must have done this the first time you watched it. So my conclusion: maybe YOU should get a life.

Oh, and if you're gonna swear, please censor the words yourself so I know what you are saying, you little f#cking c#nt.

Your opinion should be discounted if you think that Charlie Sheen was in Apocalypse Now...

Dude, Wishmaster: not a bad movie. Sure a thinner plot, simplistic. A modern day Theif of Baghdad?...well, not quite. But maybe in one aspect.

It is a gore fest, not by any means the goriest. But some unique deaths are present. Who doesn't dig it when the guy's skeleton rips through his body. AND the exploding people. Awesome stuff.

Night of the Living Dead, you crazy muthas. That is a precedent in horror film. Zombie movies originated from that, not to mention giving hope for young film makers. George A. Romerro is a hero of mine, respect his work. He was an innovator.

House of 1000 Corpses, some parts are eerie, but it's just a little too bleh for my tastes. Go back to White Zombie, you were kickin' there.

Apocolypse Now...come on now. An amazing film. A great war film. But if you want a better one, check The Deer Hunter. It really makes you think about things. Some scenes are unforgettable.

Think about what you all are saying. You need to be more positive. Where are we now from hate. It's like The Beatles said, All you need is love.

Exterminate All Rational Thought, That is The Conclusion I Have Come To.
