Alexandra just didn't wish for anything. And then the djin just gets really whinny following her around for the movie when she's out to dinner, or at a movie etc. popping up and saying "c'mon make a wish, c'mon I'll be your friend. Nothing bad will happen I promise. C'mon pleaseeeee."

he would just kill everyone around her until she couldn't stand it anymore

i watch waaay to many movies >.<

Odds are he'd continue getting more wishes from other people until she made the mistaking if wording something wrong within earshot of him.
