why not? A more serious approach could make this movie way scarier. I also thought Jared Leto could pull off a good Djinn, and I thought this before his Suicide Squad role. He just has that persona to him that could pull it off.
There is no Wishmaster Djinn without Divoff. WM3 and 4 have proven that terribly.

I wouldn't mind a reboot or a remake. Try a more serious, darker tone and definitely improve on the horrible SFX.
