Epic!

This movie is amazing. My tastes are varied but I knew even before I started that I would like it, I just didn't know how much. At first after reading a brief description I thought it was just going to be a period story of good people turned bad through greed. At the end though the meaning for me really struck to my soul. Maybe it wasn't the writer's intent and maybe it's just my own interpretation but I felt that this was about the many shades of love and relationships bound by it. You get a feel for just about every form between the people in this film. There's the relationships of the three main characters. Kate-Merton, Millie-Merton, Kate-Millie and then the dynamic between all three. These of course are what's explored most in depth but there's also so much to talk about within the roles and connections between them and the secondary characters. Kate-Mother, Kate-Father, Kate-Maude, Millie-Susie. There's so much that I could talk about on each this would become an essay on love and relationships.

Which relationship was most tragic?
Which most giving?
Which most pure?

I'd just like to talk about this with others who love the film. Please share your thoughts.

Oh and don't assume when I say 'love' I mean sexually.
