PS- he can't act, and she could act, but usually got roles for her willingness to get on her knees for whatever mogul was holding the reins.

I love Montgomery Clift, and Miriam Hopkins, but I actually like this later version of the Henry James story better.

The original's pretty melodramatic and stagey. This one at least's believable.
