shareWow, that surprises me. Although, I live in North Hollywood and no one ever talks about the 1997 shootout at the Bank of America anymore.
Still, those two events are hardly comparable. The implications of the Davidian siege, in terms of personal liberties and the role of the state, are much weightier than a couple armed bank robbers fighting the cops on Laurel Canyon Blvd.
I would think that people in Waco would have vested opinions on the subject. I'd expect there'd be people sick of talking about it, certainly, but that it would still be a fairly regular topic of debate and discussion.
A lot of strange things happen in this world. Things you don't know about in Grand Rapids.
Though it is referred to as 'Waco', the compound is actually outside of the city limits. Not to say that people in the city wouldn't care about the next town over, but something happening in the town and something happening the next town over changes your opinion of events, simply because it is not your immediate area.

Dont try to justify it. Let your freak flags fly Waco. I would rather be remembered as a place where a bunch of looneys locked themselves into a compund and had to be killed for their bogus cause, then the city that harbored George W Bush. I thought about moving to Waco. If only for the reason I could see George Bush, and kick his mutha fockin arse for cuttin my Medic-Aid!

When you say house, do you really mean trailer, photoseller? Dont try to church it up. I am familiar with the area in which you dwell, and nothing says "please send a tornado my way" quite like Bellmead. And yes, I am in fact a medic, that needs aid.

Ouch. I am telling you. The airport he lands at is TSTC, no? That is right next to L3 which used to be Raytheon, no? The Airport is what used to be James Conally Air Force base, no? The golf course, James Conally is still there, no?
I think you just used an oxymoron though. You were THAT GUY who said nice, and Lacy Lakeview in the same sentence. I just know that Lacy Lakeview, and Bellmead, are an extension of East Waco.
If you use the term home, to describe a shack. Well, then I suppose that you have a future in being a republican lobbyist. "Sure, the paint is peeling on these homes, but doesnt that add a certain Central Texas charm?"
Get real!

Wow, you guys seem to be complaining about some stupid airport. It seems hitler is pissed because we all found out he likes wang and photoshop is pissed cuz we all found out he lives in a trailer. As far as I'm concerned, you're both acting like a bunch of whiners (are either of you, by any chance, lutheran?), seriously grow up and the vulgar names are just overkill! Nobody cares about some podunk, crap little texas town. I would never leave upstate new york for that crap!
