I mean seriously, every single movie that has teenagers in life threatening situations and they all act like they have no brain. If this is the next generation i dont even wanna know what the following generation to them is gonna be.
When i was young i saw a car commin at me high speed while crossing the road, he had a red light and mine was green, so i was well in my right to cross the road. Did i freeze and start crying in the middle of the street? No, i got the hell out of there, seems like American teens wouldve done exact the former rather then the latter.

Hollywood has been making films with stupid teen characters for decades. The whole teen slasher genre, that was so popular in the late 70's to mid 80's, was based off that very concept.

It's so refreshing to see such an ignorant statement. Yes dude..you watched a movie so now you know how all Americans behave. Kind of like how whenever somebody tries to travel Europe they get kidnapped by serial killers and rapists. Cuz all Europeans are bat *beep* crazy..

We're talking about a 13 year old girl in a disaster movie, holding a soft toy for security and you expect her to turn into Lara Croft or Modesty Blaise. And then you use that scene to indict a generation of American teenagers. I'd be seriously careful about who you are labelling "stupid".🐭

I gave an example of how i reacted in life threatening situation that age.
Its called instinct, even that young you already have it ... or should have if not dumbed down ... what else would be the reason for just standing there and not even instinct taking over knowing you are going to die?
If you have a better word, please let me know.

I got really angry at that. I wasn't expecting her to turn into Lara Croft or anything... just be smart. Perhaps do not keep standing there. Perhaps get away from the river of lava. She couldn't run away?
Her indecision and screaming caused two firefighters to lose their lives because Mike had to run and help HER.

Ummmm....people process emotions differently. The scene before shows she struggling to buckle herself in because she is shaking so badly and then she clings to her father in fear once the sewer covers start flying off. It's clear that she is terrified and that can paralyze you. Expecting a young girl with no training to understand what is happening and know what to do is beyond ridiculous.

I voted for Frenchie and Dia like a sex donkey on Xanax.

Haha, what training would she have needed? I don't think people need much training to know that they should run away from approaching lava...
