Dumbest line in the whole movie

In a movie with more than its fair share of verbal ipecac, this one always makes me cringe.

Anne Heche's character pulls up to the site off the first eruption for the first time, marvels at it, then gets sappy and sentimental and says "You would have loved this, Rachel". Yep, Rachel would have loved to see all that death and destruction and chaos and nobody knowing what the heck to do about it!

Boy! That WAS dumb! Dumb movie. Good fx tho.

I think you were missing the point of that statement. Beyond that, I'm not sure you are qualified to speak for someone else one what they would or would not love.

Ummm....it's a M-O-V-I-E, I am speaking about a fictional character here, and you're getting your knickers in a twist over whether or not I'm "qualified" to speak for a fictional character? Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast????

Hey man, they were seismologists. A small part of them, in the blackest part of their hearts, would have loved to see such a geological phenomenon.

Actually that would have made a better death for Rachel. They pull up to the site, Rachel can't help herself and marvels at the scene, and then a lava bomb lands on her.

Same sort of thing a tornado chaser might say up close to a huge tornado even it happens to be tearing a farmhouse to shreds I suppose.

Actually i always thought the dumbest line in the whole movie was the reporter saying

'We now have a name for this phenomena, its called

A..... V---o---l---c---a---n---o (spoken sooo slowly & emphasised)

Everytime i hear the reporter say that I have an urge to say 'Well durgh, what the hell did you think it was!!!'

Geez dont Americans know what volcanoes are?????
