Director of this directed very 1st STAR TREK (The Cage)
Wow I didn't know that until just now when looked up trivia as had caught Turbulence last night on late night TV (think saw it on VHS back in late 90s but no remember much of it so was like seeing it for first time).
Other Trek connections - Catherine Hicks (Trek IV), Ben Cross (went on to play Sarek in Trek 2009) also pretty sure Ray Liotta was on short list to play Captain Pike in that movie as he looked abit like Jeff Hunter from The Cage :O)
