Totally ridiculous scene

What struck me as one of the most idiotic scenes of this movie was when Teri in the plane's cockpit was talking to flight control on the ground (or whatever the correct term is) while Weaver is trying to enter the cockpit at the same time. Just seconds before Weaver was talking to flight control and threatened to CRASH THE PLANE AND KILL EVERY PASSENGER ON BOARD loud and clear and EVERYONE COULD HEAR IT, only Lt. Hines warn Teri no to let Weaver enter the cockpit while the stupid bitch from flight control tells her to "program the auto pilot" over and over again AT THE SAME FREAKIN TIME. Does she not realize that the convicted murderer who wants to crash the plane is trying to enter the cockpit right now and HAS TO BE STOPPED? Instead of talking *beep* about programming the auto pilot, she would just say "The Lieutenant is right! This maniac just told us he would crash the plane into the airport!" It's so *beep* ridiculous and stupid and makes no sense what so ever and was just made that way so that Teri would be conflicted between two persons (Weaver and Hines). Had the whole flight control team told her not to let Weaver enter the cockpit, it would've been obvious to her that he is the bad guy. The film would have been over that way. What a *beep* idiotic scene in a *beep* idiotic movie.

Also, it was just so cheap how they tried to make the bad guy look like a master psychologist Hannibal Lecter type guy, as it was such a poor job. Like how he said to the other stewardess (forget what her name was) that she is alone alot because she is getting older and less attractive, before he killed her. Who says she doesn't have a husband or boyfriend? It's so stupid.

I don't if your reference to Lector was intended this way, but I got quite a chuckle from it since Ray Liotta played one of Lector's victims in the sequel "Hannibal".
