At least Truman chose to leave the studio at the end, with the support of the millions of viewers watching and his infiltrator girlfriend, much to the mortification of Christof. I only hope Truman made millions from the sale of his autobiography on the show, because as much as the viewers saw his every moment awake and asleep, they sure would not have known his thoughts.
I can see why this movie is so highly rated.
I believe the show would simply adopt another unwanted baby and start all over. Redress the town, maybe adopt more than one to mix things up. Perhaps add some side fiction adventures to spice it up more.
The show wad loved globally. It's not going to stop because 50 people protest. Or it would have never started.
Ads were everywhere. This is a well run business. It would continue
But it might fail, as so many sequels.
shareI was thinking, they could have made a dark ending. When Truman went through that door it could lead to a corridor that exited into a second set! Truman would be treated as a celebrity in that new set world, keeping the show fresh!
