There should be a TV series adaptation of The Truman Show either as a spinoff or remake of the movie. The movie is about a TV show so it would be ideal for the TV format. Maybe it could even be a reality show with a person getting an amazing career opportunity in a town that's actually a TV show set and all his family and friends and coworkers are in on it.

shareExactly HBO would be perfect! Maybe they could have multiple people who are unaware that their lives are just part of a TV show to add some plausible deniability and more storylines. Maybe later seasons could have characters who leave the set but then decide to come back because they prefer comfort of the fake world than the harshness of the real world.
shareYes exactly,and they could start from the beginning,like when the Truman or the Trumans are in their teen years,then slowly build up their suspicions about the fake reality they are living. And also show the private lives of the actors of the set etc. there is possibilty for many storylines!

shareMaybe not that specific demographic or the main character, but it would be interesting if one of the “unaware” characters is gay but the TV show producers are trying to force him or her into a heterosexual relationship (or vice versa) with one of the “actor” characters to boost ratings.
