Controlling the weather?

actually perfectly plausable in today's day and age, not sure about the 90's

but with enough money and resources it is very possible, however the area of effect has to be small enough, the big step would be to control global weather.

Final point, yes it would cost a heck of a lot of money but it would be well possible in such a small enclosed area as the dome under which the truman show was broadcast.

They do it now. It's called HAARP. Google it

They controlled just the weather inside the dome. They MADE the weather in there.

Shouldn't be too difficult.

They did it when they made the movie. That wasn't a real storm. The hard part would be hiding the mechanisms.

They (the governments) have had weather control since the 50's. Rudimentary but they still had it. In fact, in 1977 or so they had to hammer out a treaty about using the weather a weapon. Just watched the movie for the first time tonight. Saw clips here and there but actually saw the movie tonite
