More like vlogging one's life on YouTube every day. In my opinion, The Truman Show was kinda ahead of its time, because nowadays we do tend to present our lives in a romanticized version on all forms of social media, hiding our true feelings and pretending to be living perfect lives. But instead of having Christof planning our lives, we are the directors of our own life's presentation streaming online.

The Truman concept is nothing new. Elizabeth Taylor's early life was completely controlled by a film studio. Her graduation and her first marriage was completely staged and organised by studio executives. Even royalty were treated as such.
