You really left Molly in the car?

Andy's mom leaves Molly in the car and comes back upstairs to get Andy when he's about to leave for cowboy camp. Am I the only one who finds that to be extremely irresponsible?? Who leaves a toddler in a car by herself? She could have been kidnapped.

It was the 90s. People were more mellow about that kind of thing.

Plus, they lived in a suburban neighborhood which looked very safe. Neighbors would probably notice if someone came and tried kidnapping Molly.

For all we know, there could've been other people traveling and carpooling with them as well.
