The worst decision ever made in the Bond series

Now, while I'm sure that there may have been some pretty bad decisions in Bond history (sending Bond to space, making Bond a clown, letting Bond get old) none have been as bad as picking Sheryl Crow's theme song over k.d. Lang's. Sheryl Crow's song was instantly forgettable and whiny. But the Lang song, on the other hand, was the best song since Nobody Does it Better (That's 20 years). The instrumentation was perfect for Bond and k.d.'s voice was unbelievable. She is a really amazing singer (maybe the best singer working today, just listen to Hallelujah) as opposed to Sheryl Crow who was, as I said, whiny. Horrible.

It's bad, I agree but there's been worse decisions.

Connery's toupee in Thunderball and Diamonds Are Forver for starters.

k.d. Lang's song is good, but it wouldn't have been a good choice for the title sequence. Crow's song fits the theme and the graphics of the title sequence much better. "Worst decision ever made" is quite a ridiculous stretch. When you look at rejected Bond theme songs over the years, it's pretty clear that EON has typically made the right choices even though some of the rejected songs are quite good in their own right.
