I liked this movie although I don't really understand it.

Why did he want to commit suicide?

I laughed when he told the seminarist he couldn't eat eggs as they were bad for him. If you know you are going to commit suicide what difference would it make to eat an egg or two?

Although questioning the men seemed odd at first I did not get the impression he was trying to engage with these men for sexual purposes.

If a Muslim commits the sin of suicide does the religion prevent others from burying him properly?

We cannot know why he wants to kill himself because no such information is given to us. As for the burying thing, you must ask someone more familiar with Islam (if they can´t bury them, one can only wonder what is done with them instead).

Taste of Cherry is a film of introspection for audiences. It is for audiences to contemplate why Badii wished to die, there could be clues in the dialogue mentioning Badii's personal life or references to war. It is up to audiences to decide.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.

The egg thing - he was just being polite, so as not to cause offence at turning down an invitation to enjoy their hospitality.
