tragic movie
When i saw this movie a couple of years ago it didnt really strike my interest too much. However, after seeing it just a few minutes ago, the movie took on a new meaning.
Mabey im the only one, but every main character in this movie seems tragic to me. You have pony who is the guy who accidently made it lucky. He thinks hes some kinda of artist but tries to act modest so everyone doesnt see him for the fraud that he is. He is so absorb by his own power that he will piss and s*** on anyone just to get ahead, even his own friends. Then there is sooze, she is the gullible type. She is more down to earth and likeable but she cant see through ponies empty promises not to mention his empty personality. Tim is the only one who has accepted who he is. He seems like he has some kinda of idea of what life is about. But for some reason he cant handle it and has given up. He views life as s*** hole and doenst really give a *beep* about anyone. He is that friend that you can never depend on for anything. Bee Bee is the manic depressive who has lost hope in everyone and everything. She represents a sense of hopelessness that many kids my age go through. Buff, the drunk naive character is what many people wish deep down inside they could be. Being that eaisly entertained and that stupid can sometimes sound like paradise. However, he is tragic because deep down inside you know that when the movie ends, his character is not really going to make it. And if he does, he will probably piss it all away. Last but not least, Jeff. He, to me, represents confusion. He is more lost than anyone else in that movie. But his character seems more real to me then any other. He is smart but has not direction. For a moment he comes to the realization that his future has not yet been written. He is free to do as he pleases. But by then it seems like its too late. Sooze runs out on him as does Buff for bigger and better things. Tim ends up being somewhat useless as a friend, in fact i think Tim is dragging down Jeff's life. And bee bee makes life look more complicated by trying to kill herself.
The reason i liked this movie was because after watching it, i actually began to think and even analyze my own life. Very few movies have this affect over me. (forgive my grammatical and spelling errors)
