Did Linklater base Pony on himself ?
I can sort of see in Pony something Richard would want to express about how fame and success can effect how even non bad people treat even very good people who happen to acheive those things.
sharePony is a pretty clear example (to me anyway) of someone that pretends to be grounded and "the same guy he always was", but is passive aggresively trying to rub everyone's noses in his success. Also, seeing as how Linklater didn't write the movie, I really doubt any of the characters are based on himself.
