I mean, if you compare the two movies, their almost alike in a way. the only difference I saw were the different charcter personailties, but still the same mood.

nah not really i'm doing the play in school right now and it's not really the same the whole like concept of SubUrbia is like that they all want to get out of suburbia anyway they can and do something with themselves that type of thing in Rent it's more about friendship and staying alive

That was my thought when I first saw this movie. It was like Rent... just without the singing.
