Anyone else from Woburn?

I understand this film is loosley based on Woburn MA, the writers home town. It is based on an incident that happened at the 7-11 in a part of town called "Four Corners". The characters are pretty accurate. I graduated from WHS around that time. Nolstalgic film.

I live near Woburn. Who is the supposed rock star from Woburn that Bogosian was basing this on?

I'm not sure about the rock star. I kind of always thought he was a imaginary version of the writer Eric Bogosian revisiting after some fame. I know a girl OD'ed in the old trailer that use to be behind the 7-11. At least that was the rumor. This was in the late 80's. I was pretty young at the time and from the north end of town. Four Corners is in east woburn. Woburn was a funny place to grow up. A little of everything. Sort of miss the place.

this is interesting to me as im kind of local to this. i have never heard this but would like more info because i love this movie so much and if it is based locally it would seem a lot cooler.

any other info would be amazing

i live like 2 minutes from four corners... its in west woburn not east btw.

I live down the street from Four Corners. Go to 7-11 a lot.

The town they live in is supposed to be in Texas. It may be based on a town in MA, but the movie takes place in Texas.
