Dazed and Confused
Which movie do you like better? 'subUrbia' or 'Dazed and Confused'. Just wondering. I'm at a crossroad myself.
shareI'd say they're equally good in different ways. Dazed and Confused is more of a comedy with dramatic elements, and SubUrbia is more of a drama with comedic elements, yet they still share the same, distinctly Linklater feel. Even though he did not write SubUrbia, and even though its script is much more in-your-face than the laid-back Dazed and Confused, it feels like the characters of the two movies very much inhabit the same world, with similar issues and states of mind, despite being a couple decades apart. I guess that's why I can't pick a favorite between the two- they are just too much part of the same world. Both are brilliant.
