Am I crazy or is there a reference to Suburbia in Dazed and Confused? When the "nerds" get to the party and almost get in a fight, Clint says "Don't write a check your butt can't cash" which is also a big line in Suburbia.
Am I nuts or do you think that was on purpose?

their is a reference but it's the other way around, as dazed and confused was filmed a few years before. It is the same director though, richard linklater, and if you look closely enough you'll see that the actor who delivers the line in dazed is actually nicky katt, who also delivers it in suburbia.
so i think suggesting a link between the two might not land you in the funny farm, unless you were to insist that 1993 was actually after 1996....
but on the same subject, if you watch linklater's waking life movie, you'll find a scene that takes place in the same circled a store, plus nicky katt is also in that movie somewhere....
