shareNo, it came from legitimate sources, Linklater himself said it was coming in September at SXSW.
Furthermore, "Slacker"/"Dazed & Confused" packaging designer Marc English said he was doing the art on his official website.
The thing is, there's a world of difference between a director saying "it's coming in September" and the studio actually officially announcing it and taking preorders.
It's in the works, Linklater and English are reliable sources. It's obviously not coming out this month but it's coming.
Maybe by Summer 2008 if we are lucky!

I had to stay up til the late, late hours to watch this movie on British network TV.
Anyone got a download link to watch this film til it comes out of dvd, as I will definitely be buying it when it finally arrives.

Tell me about it. When I first saw this movie in the summer of 2006 I was so blown away by it that the first thing I did after seeing it was go online in order to see if there was a DVD available to purchase.... Unfortunately, I had to resort to buying a crummy, old VHS copy of this film.... This is a really overlooked, truly fantastic film that actually brings some intelligent questions/social commentary to the table (truly something that you do not see coming out of the motion picture industry fairly often nowadays) and I would love to own a better quality version of it.

It's just not going to happpen. Get yourself a VHS copy. Cheap on Ebay. Besides, only five of the cast Bartok, Naidu, Parker, Zahn and Ribisi are doing much anymore. Sorry, I've got depressed about this movie for a good reason.

Well, according to this website, I didn't see any listing for the Suburbia DVD coming out in September, like I hoped it would.
