These two movies really shouldn't even be compared. They are both very, very different in tone, and they both represent different age groups. I am a big fan of both, but I couldn't possibly compare them.

i think it's not particular to gen x... i'm a "gen Y"er myself and thought this movie encapsulated a period of my life perfectly... i was kind of amazed to think that this was written by someone who grew up in the 70's.
bogosian has mentionned that the playu is about his youth, and well, he's much older than x's.
