2 hours of a bunch of losers bitching about their lives and doing nothing about it and then one of them dies . F'ing useless. if you disagree with me, please go emulate your favorite character, hopefully it's the latter.
She's dead. You don't have to see a dead body to know this. Just like many other films and television, the symbolism for death is enough. just because you want Tony Soprano or in this case Bebe to be walking around alive and well, doesn't make it so. It’s film making 101. If she had lived or might have we would have been given a clue. The idea of the end is to show the town going on w/o her. We’re to assume that there is nothing more exciting to see. Just like every other comedy we are to assume (aside from sequels) that the movie ends and so does the relevant and interesting things that happen in these characters lives. Movies, especially comedies (and it is one, look up the definition, its more than funny = comedy) are set up so we are to assume the characters lives go on mundanely from this point on. So just like Shane before her, she's dead; you just don't get to see her rot. Sorry.
I hate that people call certain endings "open ended" when they just can't think. Just because you don't physically see something happen doesn't mean you're not supposed to know. It’s called logic.
jeff said she was still breathing though. this movie didnt explain anything in the end it was stupid. i didnt think it was that good to begin with but i thought i may as well finish watching it to see what happened... then we didnt even get the issues resolved. it was all "open ended"
I agree with you 100%,(crap, not carp, of course.) Just a bunch of spoiled whiny brats chilling in a parking lot bitching about how life sucks and is unfair, and blah, blah, blah. I couldn't help but HATE these characters, which is not usually a good sign, being as they are the protagonists of the film. One thing more, I would like to hear one single arguement that would even make me consider that this might be a comedy film. Other than the fact that the entire movie itself was a cruel joke. Maybe that's it.
