What's with 1997's obsession with giant bugs?
"starship troopers", "mimic" and "men in black" all feature giant cockroaches and came out in 1997.
shareYou obviously weren't around in 1997... up until then the world was literally infested with giant bugs, and the movies you mention describe how we heroically got rid of them.
You can't find anything about it because the internet didn't start until Windows 98.
And of course the film was made by Reptilians, who hated bugs ;)
