Bush didn't get presidency until 2000, so why are they talking about him, unless it's his dad?
and saddam is mentioned alot? like saddam hussein? didn't that happen after 1999?

They're talking about the current President Bush's dad. The story is set in 1991. But they're talking about the same Saddam Hussein.

That would be George H. W. Bush who Saddam tried to have assassinated during a visit to Kuwait.

Do you think with today's CGI technology, they could have managed to make the mouths of historical figures match up more closely with the voiceovers they were using? It was pretty lame even for its time... I even thought how bad it was when I originally saw the film.... Not to mention the actors who did the voiceovers sounded absolutely nothing like the celebrities......
