I'll bet they were fans of 'Absolutely Fabulous'!

I know this is a weird topic, but I have just admitted to myself that this is not just a favorite movie of my sister's, but mine too! I also love the British sitcom, Absolutely Fabulous. And, for some reason, they remind me of each-other. I mean, I can imagine the Spice Girls watching the goofy AbFab, and I can imagine the characters of AbFab watching this movie. It's just a funny thought I had about two of my fav things---this movie and AbFab!

Anyone else agree? Or, do you think that it might just have to do w/ me being an American that I would link these two unrelated pieces of British entertainment?

Not really unrelated...... Baby Bunton has a recurring role on AbFab as one of Eddy's clients, Naoka Mori (who plays the pregnant Nicola in SW) appears as Titicaca on AF, and Jennifer Saunders has a cameo in the film. She was the woman at the event who goes "I was talking to a Spice Girl!" makes a face, and runs off.
Also, FYI, Saunders wrote the Spice Girls musical "Viva Forever." There's DEF some crossover, here....

And, to think, at the time I posted this message, I don't even think I knew about Emma Bunton on the show! But, now that I've seen almost every episode, I see what you mean! Great cross-over stuff! :-)
