would be killer...

Spawn 1: w/ Clown/Violator, Billy Kincaid, J. Wynn, & T.Twist main villains

Spawn 2: w/ Chapel, Angela as main villains, & cameos by Overt-Kill, T.Twist, J.Wynn

Spawn 3: w/ J.Wynn/Anti-Spawn as a main villain, & Clown/Violator, & Angela as cameos

we never see the Malebogia, but the series talk about him constantly

Agreed. We shouldn't know what hell looks like or Maleboogia for that matter.

Enemies: Jason Wynn main villain, Billy Kincaid, Commissioner Banks, Clown/Violator, Malebolgia (unseen but manipulating it all)
Allies: Sam Burke, Twitch
Others: Terry, Wanda, Cyan, Cogliostro, Billy Kincaid's father (someone high up in politics, the justice system or the mob)

Spawn 2
Enemies: Jason Wynn main villain, Overtkill, Vandalizer, Vaporizer, Vacillator, Vindicator, Malebolgia (unseen but manipulating it all)
Allies: Terry, Clown (powerless)
Others: Wanda, Cyan, Granny Blake, Cogliostro

Spawn 3
Enemies: Mammon and The Curse main villains, 'Raphael', Urizen, Clown (eventually Violator again), Malebolgia (only glimpsed, possibly manipulating it all but was possibly in danger from Mammon's plot)
Allies: Nyx (vessel for 'Angela'), Sam Burke, Twitch, Cogliostro
Others: Terry, Wanda, Cyan, Granny Blake, Ab and Zab, 'Metatron'

EDIT: Hmm, or I might have The Curse in Spawn 2 with some tie to fellow cyborg Overtkill.

Never seeing Malebolgia? That'd be kind of disappointing. He seems like he'd be great for a trilogy ending final battle.

EpicalypseAfter, that's pretty close to the trilogy I've wanted to see. Don't know if I agree about not showing Mal, but my rough idea has always been:

Part 1: Billy and Violator, while introducing the overall concept and cast of characters, with a big fight with Overkill in the middle.
Part 2: Tying off the Chapel vendetta and introducing Heaven's attacks by sending Angela. This installment ends with Wynn becoming the Redeemer.
Part 3: Spawn and the Redeemer clash. Perhaps issue 100 is adapted and Spawn kills Mal.
