John Leguizamo deserved a better movie.

Seriously, he was perfect as Clown/Violator. His mannerisms and personality fit the role so well. If only the movie around him was more up to snuff this could of been one of the best comic book movies of all time.

His performance makes this movie great, for me at least.

He always seem to catch bad luck. Everything I have seen him in he done a good to great job. This is one of his best roles. He always seems to be awesome in movies that just isn't that great.

He was the only thing that made this movie watchable.

The three things I feel that kept this movie from being "up to snuff" was the budget, the CGI limitations, and the PG-13 rating. Michael Jai White and Martin Sheen were great, they didn't stray to far from the source material, and I liked the pacing of movie considering that it was an origin story.

A boat that floats on water can also sink in it.

I agree, he's always awesome in whatever role he's in.

Agreed.

The audience deserved a better movie.

I'm sure it would have been if they had gone with the original idea; no Hell shown, instead Priest resurrected as a hellspawn.

But that's just me.

I think a big problem with the movie is that the producers tried to give Clown too many jokes, forgetting that he's supposed to be more intimidating and sinister.

...Doh!
