What Model was the volvo that was driven in the movie? Do they still make it? any specs? Horsepower, 0-60, top speed? What was the exact color? I liked that.

shareThe car you're asking about is the Volvo c70, and was used by the Saint even in the old TV show. I'm pretty sure they still make it, but I can't give you any specs on it. Hope this helps you out.

Yes, they still make C70, 0-60 in 6.9 seconds for the turbo version and I had it for years. It is red.
I also have some other "The Saint" items for sale here:

Speaking of cars, it was interesting to see the Russian Mafia driving around in a Vauxhall Vectra.

The Volvo in this film was the Volvo C-70 Coupe (also available in a convertible) There are two variations of this car, a high and low end. Also this is currently the oldest car in the Volvo line (as of 2004) and is on the slate for a major redesign to fit with the new Volvo line up. I am going to give the specs for the high-end C-70 as that is what Kilmer drove:
The engine is a transverse mounted inline 5 cyl. 2.3 L DOHC (Dual Overhead Cam) and an exhaust driven turbo charger. This car puts out 242hp at 5,400 rpm and 243 lb./ft of tourque at 2,400 rpm. The car in the film had a 5 speed clutch but it is also available with a computer-controlled automatic. The C70 Conv. LPT starts at $39,880 and the C70 Conv. HPT starts at $41,880.
Trivia: The tag number for the car in the film was "ST 1" I don't know the tag # for the P1800
Trivia: Jaguar and Volvo both wanted their cars to be in The Saint TV series with Roger Moore. Jaguar proposed selling the XKE (sexy sexy car) to the producers, Volvo gave them three P1800s no strings attached. Which car would you use if you already had three P1800s sitting on the lot?
Last Thing: Look carefully as Val Kilmer drives away at the very end of the film, in the shot throught the windsheild you can see a faint halo around his head.
