The Saint vs Mission Impossible

These movies have so many similarities (both are about spies/espionage, come from 60's tv shows, have main character constantly changing disguises, released around same time) that sometimes I get them confused when thinking of one or the other. However, after watching The Saint again (love HDNET channel!) for the first time since it was in theaters I forgot how good this movie is. So, between the two which one do you prefer? I honestly like them both on their own merits and can't pick between the two.

I also like them both, but if I had to choose I would definitely go with Mission Impossible. It had a better script, cast, action scenes and plot twists. Not to mention Brian de Palma's brilliant direction.

I also must confess that Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Shue carry this movie almost alone. Their chemistry was the high point of the movie, and I don't know if I would like it that much with other actors.

Mission Impossible.

Only seen this one once, though.

While I consider both Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer to be great actors--I definitely prefer The Saint.
