This movie reaches the zenith of unfunny...
Yes, I know this is a 'screwball' or 'slapstick' comedy about the misadventurous trip to Mars. I consider myself to have a really good sense of humor, so maybe I'm in the minority of people who found this movie to rate about a .03 out of 10 for comedy. Obviously there are loads of technical flaws, aside from the fact that the cheesy ship that went to Mars is the space shuttle (at least it was when they use the stock footage showing the launch) then switches to something 'resembling' the space shuttle except with the cargo doors on the bottom of the ship and it looks pregnant. The craft itself must be huge, as to extert its own gravity too and allow for so much freedom of movement. Ok, aside from that and the paper-thin plot, poor acting, jokes that fall flatter than a two-week old open can of pop and special effects that were atrocious (Total Recall came out 7 years earlier and was far superior), other than that it was a huge waste of time.
I've even seen Harlan Williams do stand-up and all I can say it wasn't just the script that made him seem dull, lifeless and childish. I won't go as far to say avoid everything he's in, but DO NOT waste your precious waking hours on this 'movie'.
