Fire Sprinklers

I never saw any valid reason why the fire sprinklers came on.

I guess it was just a part of the system malfunction. Everything went haywire, including unneeded sprinklers! The museum should sue the company that made that system!

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

Sprinklers are not centrally activated. Each one has a heat sensor in it, when it senses heat, it opens the water flow. Thus, if you have a large fire in one corner of a large room, only the sprinklers in that corner will activate.

What's shown in this movie is not possible, but this is a mistake repeated before and after in many movies.

I was wondering if that was actually shot in the Field museum. Looks like a lot of water.
