Anyone know what kind of dog was used in this movie? It looked like some type of spaniel. Thanks

Springer spaniel by thelooks of it.

I second the above. But it's a little small to be a springer, leads me to wonder whether or not it's a mix.

A very poor specimen whatever it is. Looks like a stubby field spanial. It's a bit short for a Springer, but it could be a female. In the 1942 and 1979 versions of Rebecca "Jasper" was the smaller English Cocker. An affectionate, beautiful breed in every sense--with a coat as soft as silk.

Could be a Welsh Springer spaniel, they are usually smaller. Certainly not a "poor" specimen at all!
