Bardem

I caught this movie on a premium channel and was blown away by its sexual frankness, its amorality, its great acting and directing. Javier stood out although Rosie was his match but I'd seen her before, especially in "White Men Can't Jump" where she stole the movie from W's Snipes and Harrelson.

Javier was so cool being so "bad'. His choices since then have been all over the map; he hasn't been stereotyped into a heavy although he was plenty heavy in "Old Men...". I'd hate to see him stuck in heavy hell for the rest of his "Hollywood" career. By the way, I think the Coen brothers suck.

I couldn't understand his mumbling, he shoud've been dubbed. But after 40 mins I quit this boring rubbish anyway. Just wanted to check if anyone actually liked it.

This must have been a cemetery for the... Spanish conquistadores!

you missed a great movie if you quit after 40 mins., it's your loss

Reboot the Superman franchise with Tom Welling as Superman & Erica Durance as Lois!

I think this is probably his best role next to Old Country and The Dancer Upstairs.

I saw this at the TIFF years ago, and it left me feeling like I was on fire. As great as many of Bardem's roles have been, this is still my favorite. I hadn't seen him too much yet either, but his screen charisma is incredible in this. I only wish I could see more Alex de la Iglesia films in the Detroit area on the big screen.
