What is it with you Americans? Just because Hasselhoff had some minor hits in Germany and Austria doesn't mean we're all fans of that guy. I mean, Hasselhoff is always connected to Germany and Austria. Take a look at "Dodgeball" where he is training a German speaking team or "Europtrip" where he singing a song in German during a scene that takes place where? In Germany that's right! He's still American, you know? Don't try to blame his popularity on us!
"We learned more from a three minute record than we ever learned in school"
Let's face it people, Knight Rider was popular because of THE CAR, and Baywatch because of teh boobs. I don't remember liking neither shows because of Hassle the Hoff.
So it is a name of someone, does that mean it's Davaid Hasselhoff, or someone else, why do all of you people seem to lump us Americans into a bunch of dumb people that have nothing better to do that watch you make a ASS out of yourself, get a life. And as for David Hasselhif and the KITT car NUKE THEM BOTH
Well I am American and to be honest most of us don't have much of an idea what and who is popular in Germany. I saw "Run, Lola, Run" (loved it) and like the music of Rammstein but don't really know who's music tops the charts or what movies & TV shows are really big over there. What we do know is that Hasselhoff (who's singing had about 3 fans over here) did have a few hits over there and everyone has seen that video of him playing at that concert to celebrate the end of the Berlin wall. When cultural products are exported to other nations it's often strange which ones find an audience and which ones don't. Here in the US we have a bit of a running joke about media products (songs, movies, TV shows, actors) that fail here but are "huge in Japan" or "huge in Europe." So basically because it's because it's an easy joke that everyone will get.
Just one more stupid Hollywood movie where someone protects incredibly sensitive data with a dictionary password, a name, or something else that could be guessed or cracked easily. (Fun quiz: Name some other movies that do this!) Someone needs to tell Hollywood that passwords look like this:
}x25EH%5(2z[S>VSLJ!>6/MSa-B(A4"qK
IMDb users probably already know this, so maybe IMDb should tell them :-)
Never believe anything that comes out of Hollywood.
Relax, it was just a joke. I know that George Clooney is big on practical jokes so I would not put it past him to suggest it, if it was not in the original script.
The Peacemaker is to me an excellent movie throughout, EXCEPT for this part. There are so many things that could have been used as password. Not even necessarily in german!
