Are there actually supposed to be English subtitles?!!!

At least in the Netfix stream version, there are no English subtitles. Just says things like "Dudes speaking in Russian".

For anyone who has seen this in the theatre or dvd or whatever, please confirm this so I can file complaint with Netflix, or so I can just know that I have to live with extensively long periods of non-English dialogue with no translation.

thanks

I remember seeing this on DVD a couple of years ago and yes there were English subs, but like you said the Netflix version has no subtitles for the Russian or Serbian parts.

I was going to post the exact same thing. I saw it on netflix stream. I switched the screen size to see if I had used 'overscan' and chopped off the subtitles, but that wasn't the case. I didn't see any commentary about 'dudes speaking in Russian'. It didn't bother me that much because you could tell they were either arguing "we are going to shoot you down" or some other simple conversation that didn't need further explanation.

I'm relieved to see that I wasn't the only person wondering about the lack of subtitles. thanks for posting.

Yeah something is up with all the subtitles on Netflix it seems. Had Passion of the Christ on for a little bit over Easter for the cheery atmosphere, and there were NO subtitles in the actual film. You have to actually turn on the Netflix subtitles. It's very strange. Happened with Blue Is The Warmest Color also.
