Another question...

Starting I have to say I really enjoyed this movie even with all the goofs, the false messages and the silly dialogues at times. But what I don't get and I find hilarious is:

Why Dusan was walking around in New York with a huge backpack with a nuclear device in it "yelling" catch me rather than staying in a silent place and waiting for the timer to run out...

Even worse.. "He wants his death to have a meaning" was said about him. That's why he was heading to the church...

Would it make ANY difference? I mean we are talking about a 10 megaton nuclear bomb. It can vaporize that church and half Manhattan from miles away.

Please enlighten me :)

It was a weak nuke. The jerry-rigged backpack bomb was only going to take out a third of the city or so. So he had to be somewhat close to the UN. The part I thought was stupid was his reaction when the friend who was following him got shot by Clooney. Dude, you were about to nuke him and you're pissed that he was shot?

Thanks for the reply.
Couldn't agree more with the reaction thing when his friend got shot and also good point about the weak nuke.
Another "similar" and funny at the same time reaction was when he shoo'd the kids off the church. I mean it was nice from him to let them live but still.. How fast can they run away from a nuke in 1 min :p

While anyplace would do in his mind it had to be the UN in order for it have meaning. He headed for the church only after he was shot. Church might seem odd for a Muslim but with limited options a church is a church is a church. And in the end when running on emotion why would he not be upset that his friend or brother (I think) was shot? Same with shooing the kids out. He's not supposed to be a cool, calm, calculating terrorist but a man bent on revenge. Yet he was also supposed to be an otherwise reasonable human being that broke after the lose of his wife and daughter. I don`t really see a significant disconnect.

Also, as explained a bit earlier it was no longer a 10 megaton nuclear bomb but just the primary to the bomb. While still signficant in its own right not quite the same.

He wasnt muslim. When he said that, he was speaking metaphorically about the country of Bosnia.
