Who shot down the helicopter?

When chasing the truck they enter some restricted air space [Iran or some other countries] and then the helo is shot down. Who did it?

Agreed, the helicopters were invading Russian airspace.

It would have been easy to get clearance - all they needed to do was use the Hotline to call Moscow.

They didn't get clearance, so should have been downed.
